Dear Friend,
As a current events sub-committee member and past member of sub-committees, it has been my endeavor to bring value to members to Hyderabad Golf Association (HGA), I was instrumental in Introducing Kite Festival at our Club, not only a major of the club but also of our most endeared City’s. Given my drive to implement new processes I have nominated myself for the committee member position this year. I am keen to continue the momentum our teams have achieved and eager to take it to the next level. Hence, I seek your support for my election as committee member 2018.
Currently, I run Oyster Group, a diversified hospitality group with interests in Extended stay, Restaurants and Corporate stay segments. I started my entrepreneurial journey by successfully establishing refined oil industry at the age of 22.
I have recently, about 4 years ago, forayed into government services, where I was responsible for a 1000 core investment into the city of Hyderabad to bring ‘Bangaaru Telangana’ dream closer to reality. I stand tall and proud in front of you all, my friends, as a successful entrepreneur with over 25 years of professional experience. My friends describe me as Quick Learner, analytical, problem solver, Soft hearted, get to the root kind a guy. Not to brag, but to showcase my concern to the disadvantaged, I would also like to bring to your attention about my philanthropic side, I continue my assistance to senior citizens in old-age homes, Intelligent students from economically backward and various NGOs.
I consider myself a realist with practical bent of mind. The considerable success which I achieved during the past years of my career as a First-Generation Businessman, with no ‘God Father’ is a pointer to my belief in process, commitment to cause, and bring about efficiency in whatever task I take up.
As a believer in leveraging standardized process and systems to achieve scalability, transparency and efficiency, I will continue to improve what we have put in place in the last few years and put in new ones where we still have gaps. We will do this in collaboration with all stakeholders and will always strive for higher transparency, standardization, value, meritocracy and due process. If given an opportunity to provide leadership to our association, I will work with the other committee members to ensure that we will be ranked as the #1 Golf Association nationally while adding the most value to all our members.
My vision includes
• Making HGA an association that the best golfers and coaches aspire to be part of and our selection processes will continue to ensure that not only will you be in good company but that new members will have the passion, capability and commitment to mentor budding golfers and contribute to growing the ecosystem.
• Working with local educational institutions and create Internship programs at our association laying foundation to people who would look to golf for their careers. Internships provide wonderful opportunities for future employment, we can be part of Skill India, Nation building exercise.
I am firm believer that the purpose of the association is simple: to preserve, protect and promote the game of golf. Every HGA activity should be designed to do just that. My next 720 days agenda will be simply JUST THAT!
1. Oversee & foster a healthy relationship with Club & Golfers.
2. Solicit & secure club sponsorships from corporate & local businesses.
3. Given that our course is in a Heritage property, any renovation/improvements/development of the course and facilities are directly linked to ASI, requires coordination with the ASI, local citizens, policy makers and local leaders. Given my background and deep-rooted networks, I can definitely complement and enhance the current efforts.
4.Train, Certify and create a career path for caddies in our club.
I would like to reemphasize my background of Real estate and hospitality and the extensive connections with the ecosystem.
I encourage you to support those committed leaders who have helped in coordinating with ASI, GHMC, HMDA and various other govt departments to obtain the permissions and various other marquee initiatives in the last two years and ensure that they are given the encouragement and support to take HGA to higher levels and greater success.
